This paper is based on a thesis in political science called Warlords in Afghanistan, researched as part of the “Global Security and Trilingual Analysis” Masters at the University of Bordeaux in 2018. It relies on open source materials and focuses on the use and threat of physical violence in politics, particularly by warlords.
